A week has passed since we bid Matteo farewell at the border between Zambia and Malawi in Mqocha, the videos filmed by the ‘troupe’ (Sydney and I) will be edited and will become a short movie of the first week of the ride through Zambia. During the week ‘on the road’, the children cheered Matteo on with support slogans ‘Go Matteo Go’ and ‘You are strong, I know you can make it!’, which are the same encouragements Matteo tells them during the Never Give Up races. We also truly realized the majesty of the fantastic venture he has undertaken, and even from afar we keep screaming ‘Go Matteo Go’!
Everybody here in Kafue and Lusaka are supporting Matteo and want to know where he is, from the Indian Director of the bank who has kept the newspaper cutting of the article in the Post and asked me with an unexpected enthusiasm “Where is Matteo NOW?”, to the watchman of the Italian Embassy in Lusaka “Madam, where is Mr Matteo?” “Tanzania” and he surprised “Ah, Mr Matteo is very strong!”, to Professor Siwhome of the St. Ambrose Trade Center Power Electrical course “Where is our friend? Make sure to keep us informed!” and the team from Zambikes.
Show your support to Matteo and the message of the ride ‘Sport can change your life’ to change the lives of all the children involved in the Sport2build activities and realize the dream of the Sport2build school.
